In 1999 my husband Graham and I traveled to Uganda on behalf of
our church www.ccgf.org
to see for ourselves what could be done to alleviate the poverty in the
Bunyoro-Kitara region of Uganda. That journey changed our lives for ever, and
for ten years I was employed by Christ Church as Mission Director to oversee an
in depth mission to Uganda.
Also in 1999 a group of Christian business people
founded (CEED Christian East African and Equatorial Development Trust) to
explore income-generating possibilities for the rural poppulation. The first
major project of CEED was the creation of the Ugandan Gold Coffee Farm in
Wambabya, Uganda. The coffee grown on the farm is imported into the United
States and sold nationally on line, in churches and in retail outlets, All the
proceeds from the sale of the coffee are returned to the region to fund the
drilling of bore holes for clearn water. To find out more about CEED and Ugandan
Gold Coffee, and to make your purchase of coffee go to www.ugandangold.vom
